After 15 years’ experience in the travel industry organising tailor made tours for discerning clients, Milanka Gardiner, decided to set up her own travel company offering unique travel experiences in China. Most clients have visited the major cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Xian and now they are looking to explore off the beaten track and discover the real China.
Chengdu, known as Panda city, offers three UNESCO World Heritage Sites which are rarely included on itineraries offered by well-known and established tour operators in the UK. Walking or trekking on the Great Wall of China is not included as a possibility either, nor are options to learn Calligraphy or experience Tai Chi. After travelling to China with other tour operators the question is: “Have you seen or experienced the real China? “
This is where the concept of TravelsWord was born.
